Osulloc
Korea's premium tea brand — owns its own Jeju Island tea plantations.
The story
Osulloc was founded in 1979 by Seo Seong-hwan, who wanted to restore Korean tea culture after a century of decline. The company owns and operates its own tea plantations on Jeju Island's volcanic slopes — a rarity in the bottled tea industry, where most brands source from contract farms.
Osulloc's bottled and loose-leaf products emphasize single-origin Jeju provenance, organic practices, and packaging design that's as premium as the tea. They also operate a chain of tea cafes in Seoul, Jeju, and internationally — a direct-to-consumer authority play few tea brands have pulled off.
Known for
- Jeju Island green tea (nokcha)
- Yuja citrus tea
- Tangerine and Earl Grey blends
- Premium cafe-quality bottled teas
